A boutique hotel reflected in Lake Garda
The refined restyling of the Bellerive Lifestyle Hotel in Salò celebrates the natural elements and the art of Garda hospitality.
Overlooking the placid waters of Lake Garda, the Bellerive Lifestyle Hotel in Salò is experiencing a new season of splendour thanks to the renovation project by Studio Apostoli, which has guided this historic boutique hotel through its upgrade to five stars.
An intervention that blends contemporary design, timeless elegance and the evocative surrounding landscape, involving the entire property—from the communal areas to the restaurant, from the lounge bar to the 38 rooms spread across the two buildings. While presenting itself as a hotel with an international outlook, the Bellerive preserves the family spirit of the place, offering guests an authentic experience deeply rooted in the local area.
Inside, delicate tones unfold across soft fabrics and tactile finishes, creating a subdued, warm atmosphere in which watercolour-effect wallcoverings produce layered plays of transparency that enhance the visual depth of the spaces.
The design concept is founded on a visual alphabet of three primary elements—water, earth and flora—which guide the spatial and chromatic narrative. Each floor of the hotel becomes the reflection of a landscape, turning the architecture into an extension of the nature surrounding the lake and creating a story that accompanies guests on an immersive visual journey.
The first floor is dedicated to water: here, all design and furnishing elements are conceived to evoke fluidity, transparency and lightness.
In the rooms, the Indigo wallcovering stands out; with its cerulean shades, it recalls the reflections of Lake Garda and accompanies guests in an immersion in the serene calm of the lake. The colour palette intertwines with furnishings and materials of a soft, luminous character, shaping environments that mirror the tranquillity of the surrounding waters.
The second floor is inspired by the strength of the earth, with warm, enveloping hues that convey a sense of protection.
Taking centre stage is the Soledad wallcovering, which imbues the interiors with its material energy. Surfaces are enriched with deep, tactile textures, while the choice of materials and precious details evokes the stability and solidity of this primordial element.
The luxuriant flora surrounding the hotel is celebrated on the third level: the Serene design introduces the vegetal world with elegance.
Particularly scenic is the intervention in the Suite Perla, an exclusive lakefront room with a breathtaking view, where the delicacy of the wallcovering converses with natural light, transforming the stay into an experience of contemplation.
The skilful use of wallcoverings becomes a tool for spatial storytelling, transforming every setting into a natural continuation of the Garda landscape and defining a balance between intimate interiors and openness to the outside.
In this interplay between design and nature, the Bellerive Lifestyle Hotel redraws the concept of hospitality on Lake Garda with a sophisticated restyling deeply rooted in its context.
