Living above the Milan skyline

A prestigious 700-square-metre residence in which light, bespoke furnishings and richly textured surfaces create an intimate and highly personal domestic environment.

In Milan’s Brera district, Moretti Lab has designed a private residence arranged over several levels and crowned by a rooftop penthouse with a swimming pool overlooking the city skyline.
Expansive glazed surfaces and loggias establish a strong connection with the outdoors, while also presenting the interior design studio with its main challenge: protecting the residents’ privacy and bringing warmth to a series of generously proportioned contemporary spaces.

The interiors are articulated through arches, partitions, framed perspectives, furnishings and decorative elements designed specifically for the project.
Fine materials, including marble, brass, wood, glass, leather and fabrics in natural tones, define a soft contemporary language enriched with classical details and powder-pink accents.
Within this composition, Glamora wallcoverings perform different functions according to the character of each space.
In the entrance hall, Dolci voli dell’amor, from Madama Butterfly Collection, interprets the encounter between Eastern decorative culture and European sensibility, creating a precious surface that harmonises with the marble finishes and sculptural artworks.

In the double-height stairwell, Marguerite enhances the verticality of the space through an enveloping botanical motif, while in the guest bathroom Greta introduces a more intimate and sophisticated play of reflections.
Both designs belong to the Divina Collection, a contemporary reinterpretation of the Art Deco imagination, and are produced on GlamSatin, whose silk-like finish responds dynamically to changing light conditions.

In the winter garden, Temps Perdu establishes a visual continuity with the terrace and the surrounding greenery.
Taken from the Komorebi Collection and inspired by the relationship between light and nature, the design was customised on a material selected specifically to suit the conditions of this semi-open space.

Finally, Veli and Rilievi from the Tramae Collection, presented in white, introduce a mineral and three-dimensional quality to the interior partitions.
Inspired by artisanal processes and sculpted surfaces, their textures bring depth and rhythm without relying on a dominant decorative motif.

The project ultimately conveys a refined and sensory vision of urban living, in which architecture, furnishings and surfaces contribute to the identity of each space while reinforcing the overall coherence of the residence.
