The decorative patterns of this landscape-themed collection are inspired by the charm of the winter garden. Also known as conservatories or orangeries, their elegant south-facing iron and glass structures capture the sunshine and shelter citrus trees and exotic flowers through the coldest months.

Created in the 18th century as a greenhouse, in the 19th century this unique structure was understood to mean a glazed space connected to a stately residence, housing potted plants and herbs; over time it was gradually incorporated into the living room of individual north European houses as a private space, in which to enjoy nature even during the coldest months.

Oversized leaves, ivy, pistils and buds offer glimpses of unspoiled nature. Poetic or stylised in geometric form, they create the effect of an intimate and personal design-led space, flooded with light, in which to relax all year round.

The origins of the collection

The decorative patterns pay tribute to the coldest months of the year, revealing their hidden light and energy. Not only spring and summer with their fresh, vibrant greens, or autumn with its rich yellows and oranges, but also winter with its whites, blues and greys conveys a sense of everyday happiness when viewed through large windows, from the warmth of your home, surrounded by greenery that already holds the promise of another spring about to bloom.

The vibrant plant motifs introduce a breath of nature and its gifts, particularly welcome in city homes, taking inspiration from winter gardens in which lush indoor vegetation is juxtaposed with a dreamlike and ethereal landscape glimpsed through the windows.
The Danish concept of ‘Hygge’, the creation of a cosy and comforting atmosphere, is interpreted through the collection, which takes its cue from the winter solstice as a moment to retreat from reality.

Led to explore a nature created to survive the harshest temperatures, the gaze reveals that despite the cold, nature still flourishes, and warms the spirit in every season, wherever it is present.

Patterns and colour palette

This landscape-inspired collection offers 27 patterns aimed at creating fluid atmospheres that inspire enchantment and wonder, ranging from unusual 3D effects of large leaves that transform into decorative plasterwork, to contrasts of solids and voids, and liquid images softened by cool colours. They include romantic scenery, stylised treescapes, and icy natural details in geometric dioramas which reproduce elements inspired by the plant world on a smaller scale. Each pattern surprises, blowing a bracing breath of fresh air through home interiors.

The collection’s colour palette ranges from darker yet delicate shades to soft pastel greens, and from leaden greys to sunny greiges. Colours and tone-on-tone hues evoke the world of Hygge, the lifestyle that brings ‘joy to the everyday’, by constantly seeking a cosy atmosphere that is an invitation to indulge in every single moment.
